Tea On The Lawn
2:00pm – 4:00pm
Our menu features an assortment of homemade tea breads with steeped tea or ice cold lemonade.
$5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.
Ramsay Women’s Institute has been serving Tea on the Lawn at the Mill of Kintail during the summer for over 50 years. The tranquil setting of the Indian River, delicious homemade tea breads, and properly steeped tea in china cups and frosted glasses of lemonade is a tradition worth saving.
Every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon in July and August from 2:00 to 4:00, Institute members invite you to enjoy a relaxing time with friends and family on the grounds beside the museum. The maple trees provide a shady respite from the summer sun, and the background sound of the flowing Indian River water is all the music you need.

Back Forty Artisan Cheese Shop Grand Opening at Back Forty Artisan Cheese
10:00am – 4:00pm
Their new Creamery & Cheese Shop is located on their farm in Mississippi Station, just fifteen minutes north of Highway 7 at Maberly, and will be open Saturdays, from July through Sept.
In addition to the small-scale cheese factory they built last year, owners Jeff and Jenna Fenwick now have a tasting room and cheese shop. The tasting room has large viewing windows into the cheese kitchen, and will be a space where visitors can come and enjoy weekly specials (including specialty grilled cheeses!) and also purchase fresh curd, farm products, and of course Back Forty’s regular line of cheeses as well.
In addition to their own products, their Grand Opening on July 2 will feature a localbrewery and a wine producer, as well as Mike McKenzie from Seed to Sausage who will be serving up his products on the grill.

Fort McMurray Fundraiser at Almonte Community Centre
8:00pm
For most of us, watching the devastation that happened in Alberta was something short of a horror movie. For some though, it was their reality. A reality that will take a long time to recover from – emotionally and financially. As always, our local musicians have banded together to help. Join us for an evening of exceptional music in efforts to help raise some money to help with their journey.
As always, Valley Heritage Radio is on hand to help their community. Thank you Jason Marshall, Christa Pare and Mike Cloutier for MCing. I think we can squeeze a song out of Mike and Christa with Jason on Kazoo! Amazing talents from Jamie and Jeff McMunn, Arleen Quinn, Unwound, Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Famers, Dale Ducharme, Mike Hamelin, Rodger Coulombe and Brian Ostrom. Doug and Pam Champagne, George Allen Chenier SR, Johnny and Jack Spinks, Maureen Young, Chris Metcalfe, Marc Gossett, Theresa Bennet Scott, Gord Barnes, and Cooper Street.
