Local wedding show brings bridal class to a new level

A new bridal event will be making a splash in style on Oct. 24, 2015.  The Always & Forever Bridal Show will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the ballroom at the Gallipeau Centre, and event organizers, Jacqui Stanzel and Barb Willoughby, are hoping the event will put Smiths Falls on the map by presenting a classy event similar to bridal shows from larger areas like Ottawa.

“This will be a fancy, very elegant, fun event for Smiths Falls,” Stanzel said, “We are trying to attract brides from all over to come and fall in love with Smiths Falls.”

The event, which is free for visitors, will give away 75 goody bags to the first 75 brides through the doors.  The Gallipeau Centre ballroom will be decorated with pipe and drapes on the walls, along with a runway for two fashion shows throughout the day.  To make the day even more memorable for brides, family members and friends, an on-site photo booth to give brides and friends or family a memory photo of their day.

With approximately 30 vendors on site, there will be many different options for brides to choose from, and they will have the opportunity to browse multiple vendors like photographers, cake decorators, wedding dress suppliers, and florists.

“There will be a variety of vendors to choose from,” Stanzel said, “And that’s what brides really need.”

Stanzel, who also owns a cake decorating business, JS Creations, will have a booth on site, but will dedicating the majority of her time towards organizing the event.  There will also be other cake decorating vendors on site so brides will have lots to choose from, and maybe a few samples to take away from the event.

There will be two fashion shows throughout the event, one at 12:30 p.m. and another at 2:30 p.m.  The fashion shows will feature bride and bridal party modeling to give brides a look at some of the fashions they can expect from local suppliers.   Goose Creek Photography and Videography videotaping the fashion shows.

“I want this to be the best show ever, I really want to put Smiths Falls on the map,” Stanzel stressed.

Some vendors who will be on site for the event include Personal Pampering, JS Creations, Ediblesins, Café 7 West, Magnolia Events and Creations, It Works, Chelsea Mason Photography, Goose Creek Photography and Videography, Dill Flower Studio, Gel Moment by Ivola, South Hills Designs Younique, Lily & Roses Exquisite Events, RSVP Events, Floral Reef Designs, Jordan Cole Photography, Party Light, Swiss Miss Bridal, Delightfully Elegant Events, Glass Half Full Rentals, Autumn’s Fine Flowers, Baldachin Inn, The Country Shuttle, and Focal Point Designs, Eastern Ontario Photo Booth Rentals, and Sheri Brownstone with Quality Entertainment, who will be providing music for the day.  This list could change with new registrants.
